What is Content Management?
Dynamic or database-driven websites create web pages from a database at the point the browser requests them.  This is distinct from static or flat web sites, in which completed pages (even though they may have moving parts) are delivered to the browser.

In addition to being fundamentally more robust and flexible, one of the advantages of database-driven web applications is that changing the content of the database from which the content is being pulled, immediately creates a change in the web page.  This makes changing web pages very easy, and the whole process of managing the authorizations, workflow, templates and navigation is called 'Content Management'
